I have a great family that God has put together in my life. It wasn't too long ago I wondered what road I should take. It was then I was put in the path of my wonderful wife I have today. We have had a wonderful 10 years together. We have two boys together, and I have an older daughter from a different marriage. We have a great relationship with our children, and we have a great relationship with each other. I have found out it is always better to present any problems you may have when you have that problem. If you wait to bring it up, you also have feelings that have been festering. Not a good thing to have when there is a problem. The same goes with the children, get it off your chest and get over it!!
I am thankful for my wife, Melody has taken the role of Step-mom and ran with it. I couldn't ask for anyone else to do a better job than what she has done for the past13 years. I know it is a very hard job to do and she does a great job at it. My daughter and Melody has a great relationship, they talk about everything. They are very good friends, probably one of the reasons why they get along most of the time. Thank you Melody for putting in the extra efforts to make our lives easier.
My two sons are the excitement in our lives right now. Every time our youngest says anything we just wait to see what crazy idea he has come up with, story he is going to tell, or even what his older brother has done to him. It seems like he wants to do everything his older brother does. If he can't do it he doesn't want help, he wants to do it his way and get mad. I don't know where he gets that from. Our oldest boy loves to work and do anything his dad is doing. That is what makes me think about my life a lot. I don't want him to do the same things I did to get where I am today. I want to be able to steer him in the right directions and avoid all the problems that come with the decisions he makes. I know it makes him who he is to make mistakes and he will learn form those mistakes. That is the hardest part of being a dad. I know they will both grow up and I will be proud of both of them.
I am also thankful for my mother. I couldn't ask for a person to care for her children any more than she does. I think that is where I get my loving side from. I think she is one of the best people in my life, Someone to watch and learn from. I know she is far from perfect, but in my eyes she is GREAT!! I am proud to say she is my mom and I love her. Now for her husband, if he can forget LSU and learn that there is no other than OSU, that is The Ohio State University, he would be alright. I am thankful for him, he takes care of my mom and keeps their house in the best of shape. He loves our children like they were his own. That is the best part of him!!
I just wanted to say Thank You to my FAMILY!! I love all of you.
